Certificate Courses

 

To provide the additional need in the job market, this institution offers a range of part-time certificate courses for students. Students can avail multiple courses at a time during her academic years in the college.
The presently active courses are:

1.    Human Rights (Under Department of Political Science) - 3 months, Intake capacity: 40
2.    Nursing and Health Care (Under Department of Home Science) - 3 months
3.    Nursery Teachers Training (Under Department of Education)
4.    Fashion Designing (Under Department of Home Science): The aim of the course is to develop knowledge of fashion and fashion designing, to acquaint the students with different textiles and their performance, to impart knowledge pertaining to bsic principes of dyeing and printing, to impart knowledge of traditional Indian embroidered textiles, to enable the students to develop skills in garment manufacturing.
5.    Tourism and Travel Management (Under Department of History): The course offers grounding in all travel industry areas a person is expected to know about while on the job. Students learn many things about tourism industry like basicbooking systems, types of airline and their standard operating procedures, types of tourism and the target audience that cover the broad concept of tourism and travel industry. The duration of the course is 3 (three) months with intake capacity of 30 (thirty).
6.    Dietetics (Under Department of Home Science): The aim of this course is to cater the demand for well-qualified dieticians with specific reference to the local needs and global scenario. Since the district of Lakhimpur is rich in agriculture and food production, a dietician's job can be commercially viable. The objectives are to train students from this region in the field of Nutrition and Dietetics so that they can have independent careers of their own.
