Department of Anthropology

The Department of Anthropology was established in 2002. It is a self-sufficient department with degree and higher secondary courses in both science and arts stream as per the prescribed syllabus of AHSEC and Dibrugarh University. Currently the Department is concentrating upon the study of socio-cultural aspects of Lakhimpur District. The department organizes different awareness camps relating to human health, blood donation camps, etc from time to time.

To imbibe good values and quality education which will enable the students to meet the challenges and achieve success by utilizing their full potentials and thus shape them into future leaders, entrepreneurs and above all good human being.

MISSION

  1. To provide a holistic and quality education to the students which will help in shaping an overall development of the student’s academic as well as personal life. 
  2. To promote research oriented activities, so that the students achieve excellency in the field of research in addition to academic areas.
  3. To provide a safe, accessible and competitive academic environment which will enhance the creativity, cultural awareness, critical thinking and effective communication skills among the students.
