The Department of Chemistry was established in 1990. This department offers higher secondary and degree courses as per the prescribed syllabus of AHSEC and Dibrugarh University respectively. The department is actively involved in vital issues like potable water and water pollutant, and different research project on the same.

VISION

1. To provide strong fundamentals in Science and Technology in the undergraduate level degree programs and to develop research activities in Chemistry.
2. To introduce innovative teaching methodologies and evaluation strategies this shall chisel the professional etiquette of the students.
3. The Department of Chemistry strives for excellence in all aspects of teaching and researches, to produce Graduates of high quality required in academic / research organizations and serve the society at national and international standards.

1. To create and maintain programs of excellence in the areas of research, education and public outreach.
2. We foster and encourage the pursuit of new knowledge in chemical sciences.
3. To impart and enhance the advanced knowledge & skills of Chemistry to offer effective solutions to the industries through research and consultancies and to address rural needs by eco-friendly solutions through research.
4. To inculcate the importance of Basic Sciences and develop a natural flair which in turn shall mould the student into a competent professional.
