The Ministry of Education (MoE), Govt. of India, has launched Unnat Bharat Abhiyan with an aim to connect institutions of higher education with local communities to address the development challenges through appropriate technologies. In accordance with the guidelines of MoE, the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA) Cell, of Lakhimpur Girls' College was formally formed on 19th April, 2022 with the following members: 1. Dr. Surajit Bhuyan, Principal, LGC (Supervisor) Unnat Bharat Abhiyan Cell, Lakhimpur Girls' College is inspired by the vision of transformational change in rural development processes by leveraging knowledge institutions to help build the architecture of an Inclusive India. UBA Cell, Lakhimpur Girls' College major areas of intervention are – With the basic aim to work with the people of rural in identifying development challenges and evolving appropriate solutions for accelerating sustainable growth, the UBA Cell of Lakhimpur Girls' College has adopted following 5 (fives) villages: On the day of the formation of the Cell, an orientation on UBA was conducted in presence of Principal, IQAC Coordinator and Cell’s members of Lakhimpur Girls’ College where further action plans were also planned and discussed.
